Catch broken links before your visitors do.

LinkSentinel scans the internal links in your WordPress posts and pages, rewrites the ones that moved for good, and queues broken links and temporary redirects for you to review.

  1. Scan Tools → LinkSentinel Scan Now, or on a daily, twice-daily, or weekly schedule.
  2. Check <a href> Every internal link in your posts and pages gets a status.

Only the safe
fixes are automatic.

Slug changes, migrations, and deleted posts leave links pointing at redirects and dead ends. LinkSentinel fixes what's certain and asks about the rest.

  1. Scan

    Start a scan from Tools → LinkSentinel, or schedule one daily, twice daily, or weekly in your site's timezone. Scans run in batches with live progress.

  2. Check

    Each internal link is checked for redirects and broken destinations, without blindly following every hop.

  3. Sort

    The response code decides what happens next.

  4. Auto-fix

    Links that return a permanent redirect (301 or 308) are rewritten to their final destination and listed under Resolved.

  5. Review

    Temporary redirects and broken links wait in their own queues. Change a link by hand, with a full URL or a path like /about-us/, or resolve every pending redirect at once with Resolve All. On rate-limited hosts, set the batch size and cooldown. Resolved links export as CSV.

Install.

Free, GPLv2 or later. No account, nothing to configure before the first scan.

  1. Add the plugin

    In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New and search for LinkSentinel, or download it from WordPress.org.

  2. Activate it

    From the Plugins screen.

  3. Run the first scan

    Open Tools → LinkSentinel and click Scan Now. Set a schedule under Settings.
